bath robe

here is Pilar's latest fashion accessory, a bath robe! since she loves her bath time so much aunty robyn got her this white terry towel bath robe at target, and she seems to love it! 

sleepy

how do you get a baby who doesn't want to sleep to sleep? you vacuum! or run the dishwasher, or blowdryer. Today Pilar just wouldn't go down for a nap after a pretty sleepless night, so now she is overtired and resisting a nap, which means I also am sleepless, and not getting my nap! so I have now vacuumed the apartment twice, lol, and am now just letting the vacuum and dishwasher run while we both nap...ahhhhhhhh. It worked like a charm...zzzzzzzzz.

polka-dot girl

today Pilar decided to wear her polka-dot outfit and her new fleece one piece, and was lucky enough to go out for two walks today, one with grandma sharen to city hall, and one with mommy to kingsgate mall and main street. She has started to discover her hands and is desperately trying to suck her thumb...you go girl!

grandma's visit

yesterday grandma sharen came to take us to the doctor and she was met with pilar's smiles and sounds. today pilar weighs 11 pounds and spent a nice afternoon napping and reading architecture books with grandma. she also received a new toy from our neighbor janice...a piggy! this little pig is a nice addition to her other animal friends - a rinocerous, a frog, a sheep, a giraffe, a rabbit, an elephant, and a bear!

bath time

today pilar is six weeks old, and to celebrate we gave her an extra special pampering bath tonight complete with baby massage using waleda baby cream...the best stuff! this week she has started smiling and cooing, it's wonderful!!!

this is pilar's favorite toy, she stares at it in her crib and has started reaching out and touching its soft fur. a gift from kate and mike...thanks guys!

identity

today Pilar can officially work, she received her social insurance card! Last week she received her birth certificate, today we are getting her passport photos taken for her passport so we can travel to Miami in the next few months. Not bad for a five week old jet setter. It's exciting when we pick up the mail and find mail for her!
