ho ho ho

yesterday we took Pilar to meet santa for the first time! we went to kingsgate mall near our house and we were his only visitors at the time so we walked right in. Pilar wasn't afraid of him at all, and was quite relaxed and comfortable sitting with santa, as you can see she is holding his finger! Next year might be a different story, but for now at 3 1/2 months old, she is blissfully unaware that she is about to received tons of great presents from all the santas in her life. merry christmas baby doll!

tea party

last week Pilar hosted her first tea party! almost everyone who attended her baby shower made it to her tea party, and a few more. There was stella, anna lisa with bridgit and jet, susan with madeline and olivia, grandma sharen, aunty robyn, wendy, kate, candra, barbie, and mom! we enjoyed so many nice sweets and savaries, and stella's awesome homemade chai. let's do it again in the new year and hopefully the few who couldn't make it this time will be able to come next time! thanks guys!

Pilar received a bunch of great hand-me-downs from my friend Nicole, who also gave her Sophie the giraffe. Thanks Nic!

bathing beauty

well the tummy tub isn't working out so well at the moment because all Pilar wants to do in the tub is suck her hands, and since the tummy tub makes her sit upright, when she goes for her hands she tips forward and I am constantly trying to keep her head above the water! so I have put her back to her sink baths, and this is what I discovered...she can now lay in the sink unassisted! and by the look on her face she is really enjoying her baby spa time!

on my birthday Sergio and I walked Pilar to main street for some window shopping, and we stopped into the sunny cafe for breakfast. Here is my little birthday present fast asleep in her carriage.

Pilar has really discovered the delights of her hands, she sucks and chomps on her thumb, or a finger, or her whole fist! Almost everything is going to her mouth these days, her favorite lamb, the pig, sophie the giraffe, her blankets, even dad's stray hairs (yuk)!

my baby Pilar can now hold her head quite well, and she loves to show off her new skill by either standing or flying! She really enjoys her supermans as you can see in this photo. She also loves to stand on my lap and look around the room and at people. She also likes standing on the back of the couch looking out to the street. such talent and curiosity!

It was aunty Robyn's birthday on december 4th and we had a pizza dinner here at my place with grandma Sharen, aunty Robyn, aunty Heather, Sarah, Pilar, and me. Pilar was the star as usual, everyone loved her jean overalls!

Pilar's favorite place to be...in her car seat...NOT! She is a good sport about it though. She's really growing, we've had to adjust her seat already to a bigger setting for the straps... she stays nice and warm in her fleece jacket and pants that aunty Robyn got for her.
