kisses

after the raspberry stage, pilar entered the lip vibration stage, and these pictures show her pucker lips stage! she is so silly, but has no idea. for about two weeks she did this ALL day long. now she has the hang of it and actually makes these kiss faces when she is saying goodbye to someone, or wants to offer a kiss.

she is in her stroller which she loves, and i love, it's the BEST. bugaboo frog. she is also starting to wear shoes, these ones were a gift from sophie and jeff in london, tip toey joey, thanks guys!

stairs

here you can see pilar mastering the stairs at her grandparents house! grandma sharen spends hours with her watching her go up and down the stairs by herself. in fact the first time she tried, she figured it out right away all by herself, amazing. she learned to go down the second time. when she gets to the top of the stairs she is in grandmas room where she loves looking back down the stairs through the glass railing and playing with my mom's baskets from bali. i just love her little bum as she is going up the stairs, too cute.

fisher price

my mom got this little walker for pilar at a second hand store recently, here she is trying to walk with it. she does ok, gets a few steps then looses balance because the wheels have no brakes! she likes the toys on the front, and the inside storage box, she spends hours putting things in, taking them out, putting them in again! love it, she can tidy a room all by herself at 10 months!

on a fashion note, i love these pants i got for her recently, and i definitely recommend them, american apparel karate pant, lots of nice colors, soft cotton, nice fit.

pelagrino girl

pili takes a liking to just about anything that isn't a child's toy these days. she is like a bug to a flame when it comes to everyday household items, like this empty pelagrino bottle. she found it abandoned by us on the coffee table, and she really got into shaking it around, dropping it on the floor, picking it up again, trying to chew it, and so on. well as you can see the bottle is pretty big compared to her little size, so on one swing attempt the bottle weight overtook her and she fell backwards into a shelf, with the bottle still in her hand, hahahaha, poor little thing, she cried a little, and we laughed a lot! another household item on her favorite list, the phone! she spends hours pushing the buttons on the cordless phone base, listening to "no new messages" "to erase all messages press erase again", and of course the volume setting. she is really into buttons, and pressing them in. light switches are another fave. she's definitely learning cause and effect!

yogurt

hi everyone, well the updates got delayed, I've been so busy with work lately, and since pilar is on the move now, she keeps me very busy indeed! here is our little P enjoying some goat yogurt, she loves it! I have decided not to give her cow dairy for the time being, only goat yogurt and goat milk. she still doesn't want a bottle, so we give her baby sips from a bottle top, it's like a mini cup. so at least parts of the bottles we have are useful.
