hello dolly!

So normally Pilar is the epitome of a tomboy, however she has all these great little sun dresses she got as hand-me-downs from my friend nicole. One night on our way out for a walk (back in august) I decided to root through her dress drawer and see what she might fit, and this is what I picked out for her, along with her berette from grandma sharen, and presto...my tomboy disappeared and this pretty little thing appeared. how lovely! If you do look at the larger photo, ignore the food in her eyebrow, lol, nobody is perfect...

Do you remember what you were doing on the hottest day of the summer? Pili was roaming around the house and balcony nude! I was so jealous, ahhh to be outside and be naked. It is cold here now, and even drafty in the house, so pili doesn't get much naked time, unless we are in the bath. Can't wait till next summer!

bath time

bath time is a regular fixture around here. pilar loves loves loves her bath time. and it's very routine, it's always me and her in the bath-pili breastfeeds while i clean her face of a days worth of food and grime, then we make bubbles with the soap, and she watches me blow them. she rubs her hands on the bar of soap and attempts to lather her tummy! then she knocks every shampoo and soap bottle into the bath, and plays with them like little boats. we recently got her a pan flute that you add water to each individual flute to make the different keys, and she loves tooting away on this. once we are done, sergio comes along and wraps her in a big fluffy towel and tickles her with his beard, she loves this! then she turns the lights on and off, and then finally she gets a fresh diaper and clean pajamas...all ready for bed! (that's another routine...)

this is romper room 2009, Pili style. one day in the not so distant past, Pilar discovered there were storage bins under her crib, and she spent at least an hour going through them, inspecting each and every thing. She made funny faces, chewed some shoes, stood on her tippy toes, found a bib, all in all she was mesmerized by all this stuff! baby toys, they suck!

long time no see!

Yes, well here I am again admitting guilt that I haven't been keeping up with Pilar's blog. Time to change that, and of course update you on the girl we know as Pili, but also to stay updated. I hope that this blog will someday serve as a very valuable resource when I (or any of you) want to walk down memory lane and see all the precious moments in Pilar's early years. Do not fear however, that just because I have negelected this blog for far too long, that I have been neglecting her, and I have been taking notes on Pilar's monthly advances, likes and dislikes, which I will publish into a memory book soon.
