update

okay everyone, I promised a while back to get you up to date in the world of pilar, but I haven't been able to until now. so what I will do is post some of the highlights from the last two months. she turned 10 months old on july 2nd! she is crawling as of last week, and I mean really crawling with her hands and knees. she still slithers like a worm when it's convenient, but since we have carpet here (uno was wood floors) it scratches her tummy so she is kind of forced to lift it. also, grandma sharen has stairs in her house and Pilar has been practicing her climbing skills, and she got it perfectly! She just scoots up much to her delight. She claps her hands when she watches baby einstein, and we are starting to teach her sign language, we think she has figured out 'dog' since she is obsessed with my mom's two dogs forest and ziggy. my mom also taught her to touch noses, when you ask her "where's my nose" Pilar reaches out and touches your nose! too cute. some of the highlights in these photos: two new bottom teeth, and downward dog! enjoy.

here is our gal pili enjoying a meal. look at the texture of that food...yummy! she is a good eater in general, but can also be quite silly sometimes. she loves to smear her food all over her face, and whenever a new food arrives at her mouth on a spoon, she has to put her index finger in to inspect it first. she mushes it between her thumb and index finger, then tastes it, then lets us feed it to her. not fussy, but cautious! and cute! she sneaked in a raspberry in one of these photos too!

a rare threesome! a family photo, ann, sergio, and pili. notice sergio's hair...it's gone! he shaved his head a while ago, and said goodbye to his old GROSS hair, lol.

country girl

more hand-me-downs from nicole! pilar is one lucky girl, she has a jean overall skirt, with matching bloomers (not shown here). i think this was the first day she wore a skirt, and it looks cute on her. though i have to say, she still looks like a tom boy! in one of the pictures you can see her famous 'fake smile'...hilarious!

here she is enjoying her day au natural, don't you envy her? she has a crib toy that sings "hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon, the little dog laughed to see such a sight, and the dish ran away with the spoon." who makes this stuff up? anyway, she enjoys it!

long time no see!

yes, you are correct, I am a lazy mommy (sometimes), I have neglected pilar's blog for too long now! don't worry pili fans, I will be updating her blog very soon. we moved apartments a few weeks ago and it has taken a while to get settled, then pilar was sick with reseola virus for a little while. she is nine months old now, how time flies! she has two teeth, which will debut soon in her photos. she has been enjoying the new park near our place, and learning to crawl and cruise (walk around furniture). one love.
